Introduction

The following tables give the base ID numbers as used in UNMC serial numbers and the various abbreviations used by the Corps.

Table 1: Base Numbers & U.N.M.C. Serial Numbers

All UNMC serial numbers commence with a two digit base identification number. With the exception of "00", the number denotes the specific station where the named person commenced their service with the Corps. It is not indicative of their current posting. The following complete legend gives the nation/location indicated by the Base Number, plus other details:

  • 00 = UNMC HQ and other non-station specific personnel.
  • 50 = AREA-50 United States.Est. 12-17-1998
  • 51 = RGHQ-51 United Kingdom. Est. 04-02-1999
  • 52 = AREA-52 United States. Est. 04-02-1999
  • 53 = BASE-53 French Republic. Rendered inoperable by hostile forces in 2003. The base is being re-fitted for service. Est. 04-02-1999
  • 54 = SITE-54 Russian Federation (North coast of Siberia). Est. 04-02-1999
  • 55 = REGION-55 People's Republic of China. In service between 04-02-1999 and sometime in 2003, when it was moved after the loss of BASE-53 to N.Korea. Where it was also lost on 09-08-2004 when the base CO used the self-destruct system during Foot Hold situation.
  • 56 = BASE-56 in New Zealand. Not a Star Gate base, but one concerned with the recovery of Vostok Base in Antarctica. Est. 08-13-2003
  • 78 = BASE-78 aka Vostok Base in Antarctica. formally under international control. The base itself was lost on 08-20-1999 due to a Foot Hold situation). Est. 1946.
