Copy of Warning Order issued by GATEWATCH at 14:45hrs on 03/19/2006: 1. We have the pleasure in reporting that as of 17:00hrs 03/17/2006, the new Gatewatch monitoring system went on-line successfully. Although many repairs to the Gate Tower remain to be done, the Gate is itself, in effect, operational. The alarm and defence systems are yet to be installed.
2. Coinciding with EIC#11 scheduled for 03/24-26/2006, now re- designated as "Operation Dunbar", the new system has provisionally identified the formation of 3 plus signal spikes for usable out and inbound wormholes circa 00:00hrs +/- 1 hour, on 03/24-5/2006. As yet no targets have been identified, but the signals are exhibiting high amplitude. Accurate target/time resolutions will only be possible on the 24th. This low number of Gates at this point in the year seems to be consistent with some sort of a wave pattern when the available past records are examined. A possible relationship with sun spot activity has been suggested by previous RGHQ-51 staff in the past. However the increasing amplitude, which as our staff here at Gatewatch recalls began to rise significantly from CON-39 in late 2002 onwards, remains an aberrant feature. The records show:
*This period corresponds to Sun Spot Maximum. We are currently approaching Sun Spot Minimum.
MESSAGE ENDS
Operation Dunbar/EIC#11 is following a similar pattern as per CON-41 Operation Marston Moore/EIC#9 02/28/2003-03/02/2003 , in that we have detected a comparatively tiny number of Gate activations for this unexpected operation, especially when compared to that of the previous operation "Stalling Down" CON-56 11/25-27/2005. A total of 17 Gates, as opposed to the stated 1,601 of CON-56, most of which were harmonics, that is ghost images of otherwise normal signals. NB: Following the analysis of the data recovered during CON-56, we now know that there are only 1,597 Gates on our "line".
The 17 activations for CON-58 cover the period 03/24/2006 (21:32)-03/25/2006 (01:43). Of these only 6 are viable. All of which have been designated as Pathfinder missions.
During CON-56, UK, US and Russian crews suffered a number of serious casualties due to extremely rough and unpredictable in-flight experiences. There is every reason to expect similar conditions during CON-58, due to the high frequency and very strong amplitude of the Gate's signal spikes. As before great caution and firm flight discipline is essential to prevent injuries, damage or loss of personnel and or equipment during this short operation.
Gatewatch 50, 52 and 54 are in the present operational cycle, all reporting similar levels of activity, with very few useful, yet incredibly strong well resolved signal spikes.
As during CON-56 the aggregate total of ABC recovered from off-world equipment has now reach 52% above pre-CON-52 levels, CON-58 will be subject to Extreme ABC Protection Protocols. Additional NBC suits and filters will be provided. Thus it will be necessary for all exterior gear to be removed for decontamination to ensure personnel safety. CON-58 will like CON-56 conclude with a mandatory "lock down" pending a full medical and equipment inspection/decontamination at each of our operational facilities. We at GATEWATCH apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your co-operation in maintaining bio-security.
Please also see the GATEWATCH Report "SG51 Gate Identification Chart", for more information on the data recovered from CON-56.

Intelligence Summary: Standard Arborial World. Multiple contacts encountered including a reanimator called Met McMurrey. Exchanged ammunition and Type-2 Incapacitation devices for a MIA CLEGG team member called Palmer. McMurrey advised this is the gate site formerly known as P75C and that they had located the A gate, but not B. Team spilt in two and Bravo team remained on plant for the second transit time in an attempt to locate the B gate, unsuccessfully. Sounds of a truck heard whilst on planet.

After Action Reports:
We arrived in the middle of a dark and foreboding woods and were hailed by a reanimator called McMurrey whom the gateside teams have had amicable dealings with in the past. He was accompanied by a friend who was less than chatty, other than to react to having a torch turned on him. McMurrey told me he had a CLEGG team member that they wanted to trade for ammo and T23IDs. In addition, if the exchange went smoothly he would tell us what planet we were on and the location of the two other gates that were in the vicinity.
I agreed to exchange half a dozen T23-IDs and 4 M16 magazines I had on me with the new ammo for the CLEGG team member they had. When the exchange went ahead I recognized the person as Palmer, but he was gibbering and I suspected that this exchange might well be a trap as in the past Types 1s have used AD456 on gateside personnel and given them gloop with which to infect our base. In light of this I subdued Palmer with a single shot to the chest.
McMurrey then told me that we were on the planet formerly known as P75 at the C gate. He gave approximate directions to the A & B gates. I thanked him and both parties withdrew. I order Palmer to be secured and searched. Nothing was reported found, but it was clear that he had been tortured by the Type 1s as he had numerous band-aids applied to injuries that had been inflicted on him during captivity (see DSTL Report).
It was decided that the team would return on the first gate back. However, during the exfiltration I became aware that certain elements of the team had decided to stay behind and I chose to remain with them, because I felt the need to have an officer presence on planet would provide for an after action report.
O'Malley seemed to be the initiator of this action, so I encouraged him to direct his impromptu recon and observe. We waited in the undergrowth for approximately 10 minutes after the gate had activated so as to allow time to acclimate to the sounds and darkness of the woods. O'Malley ordered that I take point and we set off in the general direction Indicated by McMurrey to find the two other gates. During the advance through the wood I became separated in the darkness from my compatriots.
However, I saw movement ahead of me and I initially thought that I had become disoriented in the darkness to the line of march, but on approach I realised that the individual I saw was not one of my team. He was walking away from me and up a small embankment. I chose to stalk him and appear to have been unnoticed by him. During this slow advance I heard a diesel truck revving its engine in the distance, before it sounded like it drove off. During this noise the man I was stalking had disappeared from my sight and it may well have been that he had gotten into the truck. I kept walking and came upon a stargate and I went up to it to make sure I was not mistaken. I noticed tyre tracks on the ground that appears to have been made by a light utility truck of some description.
I then withdrew back and the gate activated. I hid and watched but nobody came through it. At this point I turned around and walked down a road and eventually found myself back at the C gate site. I advanced into the area and met up with the rest of the adhoc squad. They reported that after we had split that they had bumped into a Type 1, who was probably the other chap who had been with McMurrey. We didn’t have time to confirm the location of the B gate, as the gate was due for our return.
