1(B) The use of personal equipment is permitted subject to approval.
1(C) When undergoing Wayland Fight System training, the wearing of helmets and gloves is mandatory. Only after completion of your training does their use become optional.
1(D) You are required to provide your own gloves, which for the task can be as light as a pair of ordinary leather gloves. However, armoured gauntlets or plastic covered motor cross (motorbike) gloves have proven very successful. These latter items are available through the School at circa £20.00 or from your local bike store.
1(E) In emergencies spare gloves can be borrowed from the School.
1(F) Loose clothing, such as jogging kit, and trainers are required for in hall training, this should include a sweatshirt or similar to prevent excessive rapid heat loss post combat.
1(G) Stout shoes or boots are necessary for grass work.
1(H) Suitable winter wear must be worn in outdoor training in cold or wet weather conditions.
1(I) Note that it is not permitted to wear period footwear during actual training courses.
1(J) Anyone presenting themselves inadequately equipped will be only allowed to take part once they have rectified the situation.
